UK ballot applicants who chose to donate their entry fee when applying were automatically entered into a second ballot if they were unsuccessful in the main draw. Their entry fee drops from £79.99 to £49.99 if they win a place in either draw, and the entry is fully prepaid. Unsuccessful donors get a hydration vest, and the donation goes to the London Marathon Foundation. The option could only be chosen inside the 24 April – 1 May 2026 ballot window, and both draws were made before results went out on 9 July 2026.
