ASICS Marathon de Paris

How to get into the Paris Marathon 2027

Race day · in 5 months

5 official routes into the Paris Marathon 2027; 1 open now.

From its 2027 edition Paris is organised by Cadence Running United as the ASICS Marathon de Paris, and general entry switched to a free lottery for the right to buy one of at least 35,000 general public bibs. You can enter alone or as a team of two to six, and if one team member is drawn the whole team gets the right to register, though teammates run at their own pace on the day. Selected runners have 72 hours to register and pay EUR 169, unused rights feed supplementary draws and then a randomly ordered waiting list, and 1,000 Gateway bibs at EUR 50 are drawn first for runners meeting French social criteria. Paris is not one of the Abbott World Marathon Majors.

Paris's city marathon, run as the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris until 2026. From its 50th edition on 4 April 2027 it is organised by Cadence Running United, and general entry is by lottery rather than first-come, first-served.

Entering the Paris Marathon from overseas

The Paris lottery rules ask for a birth date on or before 31 December 2007, a regularly checked email address and one entry per person, and set no residency condition on the general public pool. The Gateway bib is different: every qualifying document is issued by a French body, such as CAF, MSA, CROUS or France Travail. For a place without the draw, the home page says partner tour operators will soon offer packages with an entry for runners coming from abroad, and charity bibs go through Alvarum.
